While still showing the vibrant sweet/sour/salty balance that makes Thai food so appealing, the food of the North is unique, with influences from nearby Myanmar and Laos. Terry will focus on recreating dishes that he grew up with in North and North East Thailand, as well as hill tribe specialties not usually seen on menus in Australia. This course is a great introduction to one of Thailand’s great culinary regions.
